The Hybond technical team have recently completed an adhesive application audit for a food-industry based customer manufacturing popular food bars. Our team carry out regular audits on their end-of-line packaging operation, which incorporates several high-speed, automated carton-closing systems. The customer utilises a high quality synthetic hot melt adhesive chosen by Hybond’s expert team for its clean running properties, avoiding the common issue of blocked application nozzles which is often encountered due to the presence of burnt glue.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Our team highlighted an issue with adhesive being applied to the wrong position on their cartons resulting in some delamination problems. Some alignment problems were quickly identified with the adhesive jetting function, and instructions for the necessary corrections were provided.
