1997; Hybond is Founded
Hybond was founded in 1997, by the existing owners, as specialist suppliers of technical adhesives to industry.
The company’s expertise and focus in these early days lay very much within the woodworking and furniture industry.
Today Hybond holds over 20 years experience in supplying to major manufacturers within the woodworking and furniture arena, including some of the largest operations in the UK.
Year 2000; Expansion
At the beginning of the millennium, Hybond were enjoying steady growth, and were eager to expand operations. It is at this time that the company took over Midlands Adhesives & Sealants. Still with a strong focus on supplying adhesive bonding products and their application systems to the woodworking and furniture industry, Hybond’s also provided products and services to an ever increasing variety of industries including: automotive, aerospace & rail, marine & inflatable structures and the packaging industry.
2002; Laboratory Launch
Hybond’s unique selling point is undoubtedly their ability to not only supply quality adhesive products to industry, but to provide outstanding technical support to manufacturers through a detailed understanding of chemical bonding processes, and the test regimes and pass requirements of OEMs.
In 2002 the team were delighted to launch Hybond’s own purpose built laboratory which set the company on a 20 year journey of providing laboratory supported technical bonding expertise.
Current Day; Laboratory
Today Hybond boasts a comprehensively equipped materials laboratory run by our full time PhD Chemist. We have our own in-house bonding workshop with many types of application equipment including adhesion testing and climate chamber test facilities. We can replicate customer’s bonding processes remotely, representing zero disruption to their production site whilst adhesive testing is carried out. In addition to working with our own customers, we offer consultancy and testing services to the adhesives manufacturing industry.
